Something living in my monti cap.

I just noticed this today. This has been there a while but i actually seen this open up. It looks like a tube with the monti encrusted around it. It opens up like a man hole cover. I can see something in there. I can see it opening a mouth like its breathing. Any idea what it is. If i get too close for a pick it covers up.bad cell phone pick but its all i can get now.

That's right there is a vermetid snail. That can be somewhat of a pest since they like to burrow into hard corals and live there, stunting growth and making slime ropes.

I'd roll up a small ball of 2-part epoxy and weld that manhole shut, and anymore you find.

I hate those things with a passion, use gel superglue to plug them up.
