I have a 57w aqua ultraviolet uv sterilizer that needed a replacement bulb and sleeve. I ordered both from marine depot. Both came well packaged and pretty quickly. Upon unpacking, I noticed that the bulb had some very tiny balls rolling around. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that's the way it should be. I called marine depot and they agreed. They quickly sent another bulb and this one is the same as the first.
Am I missing something? Are these defective?

It is also noteworthy than many UV Bulbs/Lamps have loose "balls" of solder inside the quartz glass that will roll around inside.
This is very common with Phillips UV lamps in particular and poses NO PROBLEM what so ever with the function of the UV lamps or no risk to breakage of the quartz glass.

Sooo.. what do you think?

Take out the UV sterilizer, put the new bowling and then check it will get in outside of the water and I feel like the VIN is correct

Hey. I am experiencing same thing with my Pentair UV bulbs. I have two little bulbs rolling around the bulb and it turns on. Did you have any issues after installing it ?
