These odd, somewhat star shaped “polyps” have appeared among some zoa’s and a spot or two of unoccupied rock. They don’t seem to be harming anything, but I’m a little concerned they could compete for space.
Anyone recognize them?

Colonial tunicates - they're filter-feeders, but some species can be invasive to the point of growing over and smothering things (including corals, macroalgae, etc.) in a tank.

I typically recommend that if one wants to keep them, they isolate them on an easily contained rock so they don't spread out of control.
 
Used my leftover F-Aptasia on them so they don’t take over. Since I added Bergia, I haven’t used it and the Aptasias are apparently gone.
