I have noticed these blob like clear jelly things with a hole on the center growing on 2 of my corals. The picture I will post is with the lights off on a star polyp and a mushroom coral when the lights are on the corals still come out but the star polyp cant where the blob is the mushroom dose but is getting smaller. Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

That’s a sponge. I wouldn’t sweat it at all. Those are a good thing.

I like sponges had a alot of pineapple ones when aquarium was about 3 months old but they all died never saw any this big

It’s different kind. Given the right conditions those will encrust and have multiple excurrent siphons. They’re just babies now. Very common to have them on soft coral frags.

Watch the grey sponges, they became invasive and smothered coral. With so many species ours could have been different but if you notice the coral not doing well they are easy to remove.
