Small gsp frag has something on it?

Or is it dying? My damsel had been nipping at it before I got rid of him.

The pokey uppy things? Looks like clove polyps.

I have no idea. I have only seen like 4 of them open up. Is it gsp or clove polyps?

Lol.
If there's a clearer pic I can tell if there's a mat

Gsp usually has a Matt of growth that covers the rock. Cloves usually have like tubes

Eh don't worry.
I see a bubble algae. Take it out of the tank and gently pop it off.
Right in front of the coral I see maybe a sponge maybe dieoff something.
Actually could be a daisy polyp. Google that and check
On the left the dark area I can't tell waht that is. If it's daisy polyps that couple be more mat. That is similar to gsp mat.
To the right of the bubble is a white sponge.

And as far as removing the bubble algea how do I go about doing that. New to coral

Well tried to get a better pic.
Lol. It happens. Use your finger tip and gently pry it off. It should come off as a bubble. You want to do it out of the tank so it doesn't pop. That sends bubble seeds in the the tank. When ya get new coral it's stuff like that you want to do before you put em in.

Yea the purple mat there is all coral. Pouty little buggers too. All those pimples are polyps. Might be a couple days before they all come out. I love em. Lost them in the great crash years ago and finally found some again a couple weeks ago. They really look like little flowers. Good pop under led too.
Much better than gsp. IMO

Post up pics when the colony comes out please.

I've had them in there for over a week and haven't seen them all out yet? They started out on the bottom and didn't come out so I moved them about midways and a few more came out. Do they need high lighting? I have a Coralife Biocube 29 with stock lighting. Softie lighting. I also have the stock return flow and a koralia 420 for flow.

Is the clearish thing some of them dying?

Still not sure what you mean by clearing thing.

It's light and flow yes. If they came out higher up leave them there. Med flow usually gets them out. And yea it can take days. Some times if you disturb them they pout for days again. Esp if thier new.
I had a similar light in my old tank and they wound up spreading well.

How old is the tank and do you know off hand your no and Po?

Tank is 6 weeks old. And no I do not. But I do know that my zoas, Kenya tree, and pulsing Xenia are all doing very well.

And the clearish thing in the middle of it all.

I zoomed in on it.

Sorry I still can't tell what it is. Went back and looked.

If the Xenia are happy then there's enough food in there. That's good.
I think there's just pouting. Give it a little time.
If the spot is bugging you use a tooth brush on it. Seemed like a dead sponge or something.
