something on my Candy Cane

I’m pretty new to corals but I’m pretty sure that my Candy Cane isn’t supposed to grow like this, or is this normal? Something is growing out of the base

Likely a vermetid snail. Look and see if a long, string-like worm comes out of it when your lights are off. If it does put a dab of superglue over the hole to cover it.

Yep, lights just started dimming and I’ve got a long string coming out of it and the candy cane head is mad. Thank you
