Hey guys I'm pretty new at reefing. So every little thing I see out of place I get paranoid/ worried. This is my hammer coral and I've never seen it close up like this. Even when i first put it in my tank a couple weeks ago. Idk if this is a pest or what. Can anyone help?

Does this picture actually have a hitchhiker in it, or are you wondering what's causing it to close up?

If you are wondering why its closed up, we would need to know full tank parameters, and if your tank is stable or not/how old the tank is.

What's the flow and lighting?

The thing in the center of the 3 heads. You can get a better look in the video. I thought maybe something was munching on it causing it to close up.
Parameters:
Nitrate- 10-20
Phoshate- 0.25
Calcium- 380
KH- 9
All I have are those crappy API test kits so far. I know these levels aren't ideal. I bought some Brightwell Aquatics Liquid Reef. I'm about to dose it now.

Good news is it's back to how it usually looks at night!! I'm a worry wart lol

Sorry, I didn't see the video.

Your params seem fine, but I can't tell what you suspect to be a pest on the coral.

You sure that that's not the flow moving it around?

Maybe it's just something stuck on the flesh like @Dburr1014 mentioned. Sorry guys I'm a noob at this. Trying my best to be successful
