Something on my snail?

Anyone know what this is on my snail? He seems to be doing just fine. None of the other snails have anything like this. Sorry if this isn’t the place to post this. Thanks for the help!

honestly i cant get a good look at it kinda looks like a polyp to me can you get a clearer picture?

if it worries you then just pluck it off the snail and take it out of the tank.

Probably aiptasia? I actually seen a hermit yesterday in my tank with one growing on the new shell he got into

Yeah seems like it. I know nothing about them. Do I just scrape it off? Haven’t added anything to the tank for a few months. Are they a problem?

if it's aptasia make sure that you scrape it off him as they can grow and take over your tank quickly. if it's just a polyp what kind of corals if any do you have in the tank but yeah as long as it's out of the tank and in the trash it shoudnt be an issue it should just pop right off.

i don’t have any corrals, just inverts and fish. 30 gal marine tank.

Ok, I’ll scrape him clean and throw him back in the tank.

Sponge or tunicate. Sponge would be my guess. Harmless.
