Just got in some new frags and this came with one of them. The first picture is as I saw it and the second is after I poked at it. I'm not sure if it retracted when I poked it or bits of it broke off. It's pretty solidly attached to the cup. Might just be a drop of glue with rock fragments. Any guesses? Need a better pic. Does it move? I doubt it’s aptasia as that would retract if poked at.

edit…I guess it does look like it may have retracted.

Is it soft?

Here's the best pic I can probably get with my phone. To do better, I'd need to break out the DSLR. It definitely retracted, based on its current appearance. It's fairly solid, at least as much so as a Zoa polyp. Cool looking at least.

To my knowedge, it has not moved, nor does it move when poked.

Best guess is some type of anemone. You could remove it from the glass and put in a container with saltwater to get a better pic for a better ID. If it’s an anemone, you should be able to kind of peel it off with your fingers.
