Something slowly killing my tank

Here is an out of the box idea aside from parasites. Do you use RO/DI for top off or mixing saltwater? If so, have you changed the carbon block or DI lately? If they are old, you might be getting some chlorine / chloramines in your water. Probably small amounts, but it can be a real problem and hard to detect (speaking from experience). The chlorine test strips are not completely reliable and have sensitivity limits. Good luck!!

Oh I hadn’t thought of this! I do use RODI for top off and saltwater mixing. I changed out all cartridges about 4 months ago but haven’t tested the water quality in a while. Good point
