This is on the back of my tank, i.e. on a flat surface. They are definitely eggs. They are very small. I know people ask for my inhabitants, but I thought it would be good to get an assessment without "leading the witnesses" :) I'll post my inhabitants if we can't ID without the list. Those are frogspawn polyps in the foreground, for perspective.

Definitely snail. I see them do this at the lfs every time. You can google snail eggs and look for similar patterns in how they lay the eggs. You'll never id on a single egg. :) good luck

Hmmm. The two types of snails I know I have are Mexican Turbo and Nassarius. I think they may be Nassarius.

I have the same snails in my tank. Definitely Nassarius, I've seen the eggs on the glass numerous times, but was able to watch one of my snails lay them this past weekend.

I hope you are right! I have 5 Nassarius in the tank and I really like them b/c they keep my sand bed fresh. I would not mind 50 of them!

Cerith snails lay eggs in a zigzag pattern. Those look like nassarius. I'd scrape them off and let the CUC eat them.
