I have had this coral for a few months and recently this larger, less appealing coral has taken over its space. Its the same color almost but its growing rapidly and it isnt appealing.

Why is this happening and how do i get rid of it?

Thank you

I'm no expert but that looks like Aiptasia. Peppermint shrimp will eat it.

If the rock is something you can move, I glue them and around them. Cutting them causes them to spit out more. Joes juice works as well, but glueing has proven to be more viable for me.

Yup... aips. Get rid... joes juice, aiptasia x, vinegar, lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide... just inject it directly into them. If you've too many to hit in this way then peppermint shrimp would be a viable option.
