IOve had problems in the past with something eating the skirts off my RPE, I got rid of them and never noticed anything. A while back a got some PPE and now I am having the same problem. I have a mandrin, so I know my pods are at bay. The only other pest I've seen are red bristleworms. Any ideas?

I have read somewhere that larger pods aren't eaten as much by the mandarins and they can be the culprits behind your problem. Also read somewhere that PE's seem to be preferred first over other zoos for a food source by pods. Do you have any large pods? I have some suckers that are about 1/2 cm.
Steve, I put the frag that had a polyp of chewed up skirts under heavy flow and since then it seemed to have stopped. I'm still looking for pod control unit myself, but good circulation seems to help. Other livestock suggested for pest control were dragonface pipefish and grass wrasse for nudi control.
Have any shrimp in the tank?

i just got a dragon face pipefish (i know i know...sorry Ike, but i just had to get one! 9.99 is more than worth it!) i'll see if he's any help.

Its usually the largest ones ( 1cm ).. they decimated several colonies of zoos... and funny thing is they usually have a tasted for the most colorfull and expensive zoo's. They never bother my GPE's nor RPE's.. but the radioactives, eagle eyes, caribeans, Reds and others got decimated in a couple weeks time...
I used a mandarin ( to get the smaller ones ) a larger 6line ( took care of the bigger ones ) and leopard wrasse..
the larger ampipods also will decimate your copepod and tigerpod poplulation.
