Something's wrong with my green porites

Hey guys, I think something is wrong with my porites coral, I haven't seen PE in a few days and it's started to develope a reddish film all over it. Idk what happened I've kept my Ca-460
Alk-11 Mg-1110 (a little low I know)
I recently decided to drop my Cal to NSW level thus dropping my alk also. That's the only thing I've done differently. Thanks for your help! #reefsquad pictures coming right up!

It was up higher in my tank, but I moved it down lower to try and see if it liked it better

i think its algae or cyano, sadly, feeding off of the coral die-off.

Are you dosing? Your alk and calc are both a little high.

Also how's the flow? It looks low to me based on the short Zoanthid lashes right next to it.

Yeah, I dose reef grow cal alk and mag, but like I said I wanted to bring my calcium and alk down so I've let up. I think the flow is high, it's powered by a pp4 wave maker running about 600-700 gph. Everything was fine until a couple days ago.

It usually has great PE, it's been in the same spot until today.

I'm running ai prime hd about 10" off the water, it's only at 100% 14k for about 2 hours. Like I said, it's always done well in its placement.

Have you had any spikes in alkalinity lately? Still doesnt explain the loss in polyp extension, have you tryed dipping it?

I was worried for that. I just don't know why it's dying, what should I do? Take it out?

I'm going to test tomorrow, shouldn't have any spike as I've stopped dosing alk, maybe the sudden stop of alk?

Suddenly stopping shouldn't be an issue unless your tank takes it up extremely quickly. Based on your values I'd doubt that.

I dont think you ever had an issue in the first place lol but it looks great. Do you have any cyano? Or wrasses? Could possibly ben floating around and just landed on it

No cyano, and no wrasse. Thanks guys, all is well for now, the tank just ate breakfast and I will update around noon! Thanks for the help!
