Looks like the head in the back is beginning to split. IF it is splitting, it is normal for the heads to stay closed, or at least closed temporary for the splitting process. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

My frogspawn does that once in a while. Give it a day or two, and it will go back to normal. If it doesnt, there's probably a critter bugging him (pun intended).

I assumed thats what was happening, but ya know wishful thinking pays a part in that. I was kinda worried it was next to my frogspawn but the tenticals are usealy "tangled" together during the day. Thought id add just in case.

They are both part of the euphyllia family and therefore shouldn't bother each other.

I thought torches were too? I thought theyd sting hammers?
Torch, frogspawn and hammers are all part of euphyllia family. Neither of those will hurt each other... In fact some people are now producing hammer/frogspawn hybrids.

Oh dang alrght thats pretty cool, learn somthing everyday. My green frogspawn was sold to me as a hammer but barely has the "hammer head" shape and now its lost all hammer qualitys and looks like a frog.

Lets hope its not a critter

FWIW your hammer looks like a hammer to me. ;)

i would check your PO levels it look like you hvae bubbles on the back rock here in the picture that's sign of Cyano and the suffocates the corals.

Po is at 0ppm the bubbles are caused by my pump i hate it so much and idk how to fix it. I watch micro bubbles come ouf of it -.-

PO4 of 0.9 hasn't effected my frogspawn. I can prove that now if you would like. In fact my frogspawn produced 4 new heads during an ugly NO3 and PO4 phase.

Yeah i just recently (5 days??) Added chaeto to the back hopeing it would stop the gha problem before it got crazy. Its very minor and hasent grown at all within the past 2weeks so im hopeing. Ive always used rodi water.

I hounstly believe my tank is to clean as far as nutrients go, i run a skimmer 24/7 and it pulls some nasssty stuff out. Seen some growth but i saw the same with stock biocube lights then the hydra 26 thats on it now when i had basicly no nutrient export besides biweekly water change.

How many fish do you have in your tank and what is it's size?
