Yep!! Take your time with it all...nothing good happens overnight in this hobby.

But yes, take your time and let the tank evolve. For me, my tank is a lot like gardening. Planting seed you have to wait for the fruit to ripen. The tomatoes don't appear overnight.

It Is very expensive...and If not done right can be a disaster..I am only 3 weeks in and have spent over 1000.00 $..no fish yet...plus I got my tank for 125.00 $ with stand..under the guidance of maritime reef..I am doing well...very rewarding hobby.

But bad stuff sure does! I did a toothbrush on a rock with GHA last night, and rinsed it in fresh water... RTN overnight on my acro and my monti!

was It the fresh water that caused this?

Yea, that is my assumption, it has been doing fine in the tank and the monti was doing great! I didn't brush directly on the coral so it can't be the toothbrush.
