Quick run down before I ask my question about my tank and my bosses tank that I take care of:

Mine (4 fish total):
24g JBJ
Ecotech MP10 set on wave flow
JBJ built in mechanical filtration + skimmer + UV sterilizer
Ecotech Radion G3 Pro - 95% for 7 hours with ramp up and down time
PH - 8.2
Nitrate - 0
Phosphate - 0
Calcium - 450
Temp - 78
Salinity - 1.023
Water changes every 2 weeks with tap water, but dosing with Red Sea No3-Po4-X (no algae)

Bosses (8 fish total):
29g bow front
Ecotech MP10 set on wave flow
Marineland Emperor 400 filter
Ecotech Radion G3 Pro - 100% for 7 hours with ramp up and down time
PH - 8.2
Nitrate - 0
Phosphate - 0
Calcium - 450
Temp - 78
Salinity - 1.023

My question is this (see attached pics..first one is mine, second is my bosses)...with almost identical setup and parameters my tank softies have not been as open as my bosses tank. The only difference I can think of is the dimensions of the tank and therefore a difference in par readings causing my softies to close up more frequently. I also just got my Radion about 6 weeks. My bosses tank has had the Radion running for a few months, but the softies never seemed to need an adjustment period. So I recently saw a R2R thread on how to dial down the Radions if corals were reacting. So I dialed green channel to 0 Red to 27 white to 80 and overall pulled lights down to 95%. Just did that a couple days ago, so far things are about the same. Does anyone have any recommendations? My bosses tank is really doing the same and since I do the maintenance on both tanks, not sure why mine is not doing as well.

Both are feed Ocean Nutrition Formula One Flake - 2 x a day with a weekly extra feed of brine shrimp

One other thing is the difference in the amount of rock and coral.
I would not start changing lighting as the chemistry is different.
The two differ in biodiversity
