Soprano or Scarface?

Hey everyone. This is my first post here on R2R but I've been in the hobby for 2 1/2 years and have made it all the way to the head of the saltwater department at the small pet store I work at for said 2 1/2 years. Ive been specializing in higher end coral and got some of these polyps on a rock of dusky diamonds. I knew they weren't duskys so I fragged them and took them home for further observation From all the research I've done I believe them to be wild sopranos but would like a second opinion. Ive posted a similar thread on RC:crossedlips: but havent had much help.

i went with scarface.. the soprano pics i have seen have been really yellow, not goldish orange like these imo..

Thanks Mike! Thats what I'm Leaning towards but they still need time to color up. They vere in the ocean less than two weeks ago 0.o so I'm interested to see their potential! All zoas and palys grow like crazy in my tank.

More opinions please!

I also think that's a scarface. Soprano has a green mouth.

I don't think they're either just a morph. I can't get a good pic of mine right now but scarface have 2 distinct black dots on each side of mouth. I don't see in your pic. Can't comment on sopranos as I have never seen in person.

I voted other. I do not know exactly what they are, but if there is no lineage on them to Bay Corals or goldenbasket, who was selling them explicitly labeled as Scarfaces, they are not Bay Coral's Scarfaces. Sopranos are, like stated above, the contrasting yellow and black.

Your polyps are a similar morph, but not the same, in my opinion. You should name them:wink:
