Sore on Clown

I noticed a sore on my clownfish. I've only had this guy for about 2 weeks. Water parameters are all in range except my nitrates. i run them high because of a mixed reef 1602622119039.jpeg

hi ,cannot tell if growth or injury,could you post a couple more pics,any signs on other fish,any other on him?

That is a really bad location for either a growth or an injury - right above the brain. As @fishguy242 said, other pics might help, how are the other fish doing and what are your water chems testing out at?

That's an interesting clownfish - seems larger, like it was wild caught, but with that head stripe, it must be captive raised (breeders don't usually grow their fish that large before selling them).

Here's an updated photo. He's about 2.5" long. Other fish seem fine. Ammonium and Nitrite are 0. I run nitrates higher because of heavy coral load. It does look like some black spots in the orange part of it's body.
