Got this powdered brown tang a week ago and it's started to develop white spots on fins and sores around mouth. Thinking marine ich and treating with imagitarium parasite infection treatment (only thing petco had as it was late yesterday). Is this ich or what do we need to do to treat it? It's not eating, swimming erratic, and seems to be breathing quickly.

Is it in a QT tank? Or with other fish in a display tank? The rapid breathing could be velvet as compared to CI. Could also be flukes. At the top of the fish disease forum there is a list of questions to answer- that help us answer your question. I would suggest preparing a QT tank - and treatment with copper - given the spots - and also the rapid breathing. Good luck - its a nice looking fish

Just moved into QT last night. It was in our DT, trying to find copper petco didn't have any last night. I'll try to find the questions and add answers here

Thanks - IMHO - copper is the best solution +- a freshwater dip
