I have had this Aussie Nuclear Rhodactis for about a week and a bit. Dipped within 24 hours in Coral RX. Noticed these little "feeler" thingies after I dipped but wasn't sure if they were from the mushroom or something else. In the video it looks pretty obvious (at least to me) that it is something "under" the frag and on top of the shell or whatever it is mounted to. Any ideas?

Second I am starting to notice the brown spotting a bit more than I think I had seen before (much more obvious in person). I moved the plug up from the sand by a couple of inches to where it is probably 18" below the lights (Current USA orbits - Hybrid T5 fixture with these as "fill in lights" by the beginning of the month). I'm thinking I want to move it up a bit more if this is the mushroom not liking the light. Never had one before so not sure if this is normal or if it is a "too low light" thing.

Not sure what it is but can you remove the mushroom from the plug to see if it's actually on the plug.

Have you tried poking them to see if they retract?

They did not. I now suspect they are something other than "life" as such. I am going to pull the plug out of the tank this evening and will take a better look at it under magnification and look under the shroom to see if there is actually something there or this is just some random piece of someting that got caught somehow.
