Sources for diatomaceous earth

I recently bought a Vortex XL Diatom Filter to keep in my arsenal of reef keeping tools. I was wondering what are my options for the purchase the Diatom filter powder? Is only the Vortex Diatom Filter Powder box recommended for full reefs or are there other sources where I can get the powder from preferably locally that would not harm my reef?

I picked some Clorox Pool & Spa 24-lb D.E. Pool Filter Aid at Lowes.
