I wish! some lucky dude in South Africa happened upon this area while snorkeling during low tide...

they call areas like this "tide pools" as this is where the water gets trapped when it's low tide.

When I was in the philippines I was going nuts trying to find tide pools, but no dice......tide pools are where you get to see some crazy marine life!

but i'm heading back out to the Indo-Pacific in early 2008...Australia and a yet to be determined south pacific island my search wil continue!

... lots of montis and they were all brown.

i bet the salinity swings in the pools doesn't help ..on a hot day there's prolly a whole wack of evaporation between tides

not sure..prolly just as long as the tides stay out...it varies too much though
