Hey guys, I try to search up more info about the space invader, but can’t find a lot. I have a bare bottom tank so I was looking for an encrusting coral. I have a 10g tank powered by a hydra 26. The par at the bottom is 220-250. Any information is helpful:)

Are you asking about a space invader chalice or are you referring to space invader pectinia? The picture below is the pectinia for identification purposes.

Hi, I was asking about the chalice. At first I also thought it was a Pectinia but my LFS said it was a chalice and I’m pretty sure it is because it’s encrusting not branching out

By the way, what a stunning piece!!

Sadly, I can’t take credit for it. It is a fantastic specimen though isn’t it?!? Best of my knowledge that is in one of the WWC tanks. I don’t personally have any at the moment. The only room I have for one right now would be far to hidden a spot to place such a magnificent coral.

Very easy and it grows pretty quickly

Is that what this guy is? I have a few different kinds I’ll try and get pictures tomorrow not sure what any of them are my buddy gave me them he said they were high end corals but not

I have a space invader chalice and a space invader pectinia. The chalice grows pretty quick and isn't fussy at all. It's on a frag rack in the front corner of my 90 gallon. It doesn't need much light. Pretty much the same care as any other chalice. They grow easily and sting whatever they touch. Mine was about 3/4" when I got it and it's about 2" now. Nice circular growth.

Yes and here in the Bay Area they are only $25 a frag at my LFS
