Picked up a nice space invader coral frag-

I run lps/soft system with g5 radion pro on the lps/soft settting about 58% intensity. My lfs felt confident could be anywhere in tank as they have had this aqua cultured piece theyve been fragging for year

Placed if 2/3 way up in tank-

Anyone with experience and placement of these-my lfs seemed confident it should be fine wherever placed

Lower 2/3 medium flow and light. Give ‘‘em some room as they are angry corals

Should it puff up or not really
it should be puffy most of the time(except when pooping). you should not be able to see any “rigid” or “sharp” shapes or edges. take note of my space invader pectinia on the top left

Their name reflects their habits of sending out sweepers to invade the space around them and especially down stream where they can reach 2,3,5 or 8 inches in the current to see what is in their way that they might want to eat/kill.

I thought they were named after an old video game until I got one and saw how they reach out to touch their neighbors.

We will see redid rock work just a tad to open up a space mid level with corals above and around it 4-6 inches away from it-will see how far it goes and if it is happier half way up vs 3/4 way up-

Mushrooms-some paly-and kenya tree the perimeter corals-all disposable if they get zapped
