Space Invader pectinia care?

I just received a frag of the Space Invader from Yourreef and was wondering what the care is like on it? Is it a high, medium or low light coral? Does it bleach under LED's if kept high? Currently, I have it under 4x28 watt T5's and one Kessil A360we. Does it like high flow? How hardy is this coral? I have absolutely no idea what it prefers but I do know that it is gorgeous! Mine does best in low to med flow and med light be carful where u put it the space invaders can put out deadly sweepers

I do not that have that one but have 2 others. One plating and one spiking. The spiking type is like the space invader just a different color. They are in the chalice family. Low light and flow. Pectinia are slow to grow until well healed. Then will slowly color up and growth will pickup a bit but still a slow grower. As said space invader has some wicked sweepers. Pectinia does not frag well so be patient with it.

Flow should be low enough it doesn't cause the flesh to be pushed against the skeleton. If you piece isn't becoming puffy it is likely in too much flow. For light, they can handle a lot of light. I would not consider them a low light coral. Agreed on the sweepers, they can reach 6 inches. They are pretty good growers, mine having tripled in size since June. I have found them to do just fine with fragging as well. Healed up fully where it was cut in about a week.

Thanks guys. I have mine partially shaded because it doesn't seem to heal fast. I can still see white portions of the skeletons on the outer edge.

I have one of cornbreds pectinia. It was well healed when i got it but took months to encrust onto the plug. A few lfs have mentioned pectinia's bad fragging habits, which is why they are expensive. Mine seem to match what i have talked about to a few lfs. They take forever to heal from fragging. Most times will color down until they start to encrust and grow. They can get use to mod light levels and grow faster but not until they are encrusted and start to color backup.
