Alright, so I recently moved my Pectinia as I wanted it to be clear from everyone else. Everywhere I read says it needs low to moderate flow, but I just noticed he is in a relatively high flow area. It’s not super high but it’s got an rfg from the opposite side pointing right at it. Anyways, everywhere says low flow, but I just saw all the feeding tentacles out just whipping in the flow. Honestly more tentacles were out then when he was in a lower flow area. Let me know if it’s possible to keep here or if I should move it. Only problem with moving is I don’t have a safe spot really.

ive got one in an acro tank. there is plenty of flow in there, seems to be doing okay. Its not in the direct flow, but off to the side.

Corals in general will show more tentacle extension in higher flow. Since Pectinia have such long sweepers, the suggested environment is lower flow (which they do well in). But they'll often do fine in higher moderate flow, too.
