Spaghetti worms

I'm not really aware of what eats them but they are self controlled by nutrients. They are not bad other than a wee bit ugly. I have them in my tank and I use them as a gauge of my over feeding. But if they are bothering you see if you can maybe scoop them out. I have seen a few posts similar asking about them and predators but don't recall anything specific. Maybe try a search and see if they come back with anything here.

I recall a few saying wrasses being the better choices but again don't recall anything specific. Sorry - just chiming in to say while ugly they are not too bad and nutrients related to feeding is one way to control them.

I've never had a wrasse and spaghetti worms at the same time, but if the way my melanurus treats everything else is any indication, I'd bet he would make quick work of them. If not actively eating them, he'd still destroy them out of curiosity/the inability not to taste any worm like thing.

I'd bet a melanurus or chrysus would have them gone in a day or two. Any of the Halichoeres would be a safe bet IMO.

I was just going to ask that. In fact, I just bought a bunch of them and (other things) from IPSF.com to add more diversity to my system.
Right? Unless they are absolutely out of control I can't see trying to eliminate them, I love my spaghetti worm army.

Indo pacific is a great place. Love their coral food and algae. My tangs really do go crazy over tang heaven. I'm setting up a refugium now to see if I can grow it.

I was going to ask about spaghetti worms in my nano tank as I have just finished a 3 day blackout and when I removed the cardboard I saw this on the glass. I know I have a few in there just not that many.

what do they eat? I started the tank with dry rock and the only live rock I have added is ones that i had frags on in my main tank. I must have over fed a bit to get this many, oops. Can they annoy corals like euphillias? Or are they just classed as cuc and a bonus?

Any perticular reason you want them gone?

They are bothering my zoas. I've posted before about these and the consensus was they are spaghetti worms. They are attached to a rock close to the sandbed and they whip around in the current and sting my zoas. The rock is now half clear of zoas and I can't get rid of these worms. They are so small I can't grab them by hand, I cut back my feeding to only twice a week and they are still there. I'm at the point now where I'm looking for something that will eat them. I have two peppermint shrimp and they don't want them. I didn't want to go with a wrasse because I am looking to get a Mandarin fish. I have a sump that has been feeding this tank pods for almost a year now and want to get a Mandarin. I have been working so long on getting a Mandarin I don't want to get a wrasse and have him wipe out the pods.
