Spawning giant clam

Saw the tank was very cloudy and caught my giant clam spawning. It is a mature clam so may produce some results. Has anyone experienced this? Should I provide something additional to the tank?

I would suggest removing the clam to a tub until its done...when my squammy started spawning last spring it triggered all my clams to spawn ans my tank was clam soup....i lost so much...the clams ,my few sps, all my lps ans some rarer softies. Even adding additional media running the skimmer wet and wc didnt alleviate the large spike.
And no you wont get any baby clams from the event.
