Fish and coral spawning in home aquaria, why do you think we get a lower success rate than our fellows in fresh water? Are we giving the tank inhabitants enough conditions for it to happen. Most coral spawn according to moon cycle, water temperature etc... could this be easily replicated in home aquaria?
how about fish? Do we keep enough pairs for it to happen it seems that we tend to keep a few popular fish in pairs but others we just keep one of each mainly tangs and angels.

The opportunity with breeding SW fishes is less about the overall difficulty of spawning and more about the challenges of raising the larva/fry, although major progress is being made. Regarding spawning corals, there are several videos from MACNA 2019 that BRS post that address this topic.
