Hi all,
I have a specific "look" in mind that I'd like for a long term goal of my tank (23gal w/ 10 gal sump); the main few things are:
  • lime green, yellow or orange are the main colors (don't like red or dark green)
  • tall branching "corals"
I don't have an exact plan for my tank right now and it has zero corals, so I'm in the planning phase.
Some of the corals that I "like" right now are:
  • green goblin anacropora
  • tree sponges
  • gorgonians (yellow or orange)

Now I know, I just mentioned an SPS, and then two low light type of corals, which is where I am in the dilemma. Basically I just like the "Look" of these... and I know they don't go together habitat-wise.

So can you recommend any other LPS/Soft Coral (anything) that would give this similar look?
What would you do to achieve it? I like tall vertical pieces in the color yellow/orange/lime green

I have a green birds nest in my tank that if put under proper light really pops and grows super fast. It is one of my favorite corals. To give you an idea of how fast it grows I started off with a 1” frag three months ago and now I have 6 one inch frags and that is not counting a mother 1” frag that sadly died (my fault). I think it would be perfict for a nano tank seeing how hardy mine has been. I got it from wwc online.

Finger leathers are a low hanging fruit, and available in a variety of colours.

Most branching LPS don't follow that type of growth, although the branching cyphastrea comes pretty close. Some eyphyllia has shorter tentacles, and will stretch their skeleton under lower ligth (I have a hammer that fits this bill), of which you could groom and shape to your liking (you know, like a bonsai tree - but coral).

I have a couple lower light SPS, like the miyagi and digitatas, but that might be pushing it...
