we have one at the store and it’s gorgeous, can’t find much info, any experience?

Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive. They are in the same subgenus as Saphire damsels and Lemon Damsels. Both known to be aggressive at times.

More aggressive than Chrysiptera damsels, less aggressive than Dascyllus damsels. Hardy, claims a territory and defends it.

They do keep there color patterns right? I don’t care if it doesn’t, I kind of find the duller damsels cool.

Interesting, I’ve seen this image on a few sites under the same species name. Is this another species that was misidentified?

Most of the time the color carries on where they were captured, how deep, and what they were eating growing up. Many factors.

Yea I may pick him up today, any other cool damsel suggestions? I really like cloudy damsels but they get to big, idk I just find duller colors attractive sometimes. They help me focus more on the fish’s personality rather than appearance, although pretty colors are great too.

Damselfish are a big gamble. Saphire damsels are a pretty safe damsel but other than that it can be a big hit or miss. As long as they have their own territory you should be okay.

It’s going into a tank with fairly territorial fish, there’s a little cave by my rock flower anemone it could reside in
