Spectra Aqua knight V2 needs longer time turned on?

Hello,

I have upgraded my Aqua knight v1 to a v2. I did read it had sunrise and sunset function so I thought it would do something like a 30 min ramp up in the morning and a 30 ramp down in the evening. Turns out I was completely wrong. You need to set 3 time points with the settings you want, and the light will follow the curve like the picture below. This means the light will be at the set intensity for only a short amount of time in the middle of the day....
Does this mean I now need to set a longer time period than I had with my previous light, so my corals and anemones get the same amount of light over the day?

Yes, I believe so. If you only have 3 points you may either need to run a longer schedule or set the levels a bit higher so that it averages out more.

Yes!

Don't put point 2 in the mid of your photoperiod.

My setting is,

I like the way you have programmed it. But the only problem is, your light will always be on.
My nano reef tank is in my bedroom next to my computer screen, so I prefer all the lights to be off at night.

This is how I have set it up so I can enjoy my tank when I get home from work:

Not exactly! Light starts at 16:00 and ends at 23:59. See, at 23:59 all are zeros.

What I noticed on my light is, that 1 and 3 are not start and end. They just change between the 3 points. So with your settings between 23:59 and 16:00 it will ramp up from 0 to 100%

Your assumption is only right if 3 is not all zeros. Some people keep the blue 1-2 at the 3 position, to simulate moonlight. For the above settings, my light completely turns off at 23:59.

Oh, another thing to mention. You must complete the cycle within 24hr clock period. That's why I set it to 23:59. If I make this 00:00 instead, it conflicts.
