Hi,

I have a Spectrapure LM3 with 2 remote pumps that I planned to use for dosing for my upcoming 150 gallon tank.
However, my plans changed and gonna go for just 70 gallon .
It's gonna be sps dominant .

Now as far as LM3 goes , the minimum it can dose is 50 ml per day . How do you guys manage if you have to dose less than 50 ml for each pump ?

Do you think it's worth to change to a different Doser like GHL or Kaomer ?

Regards,
Abhishek

You can just mix your 2 part at half strength or even less if you need .

The LM1 is designed for auto water changes and that is what most people use it for. To dose alk cal and mag you want a doser like the GHL doser 2 that can dose down to .1 ml and can spread the dose out over the coarse of the day.

The Litermeter can definitely be used as a doser. In fact it's probably one of the most reliable pumps available. The only problem is the 50ml minimum but that can be taken care of by watering down the 2 part. Most people end up dosing at least 50 ml anyway.

They can be calibrated and are very accurate.

I used one for 10 years as an ATO and Its still going.

Thanks for the inputs guys.
The accuracy of litermeter 3 and reliability is what got me to buy the LM3 with 2 remote pumps.
So I can dilute the alkalinity in required amount of RO to make atleast 50 ml per day ?
Is there any issue like salinity or so with such dilution?

Regards,
Abhishek
