Brand new at this and wanted to know if anyone had any tips or ideas on how to use RO/DI units??

Should have come with a booklet, I would recommend running through it. I got one and the booklet helped a lot

Are you gonna hook it directly to a spigot or will you need an adapter to run it from a kitchen/bathroom faucet?

You can use one of these to tap into the cold water supply of a kitchen or bathroom sink, it's easier if they are a flex hose supply line not a rigid copper pipe.

I used this with a ball valve in the rodi water supply to easily turn it off and on. I would stick the waste line in the sink overflow when it was running.

My current setup is off the cold water washing machine supply line in the laundry room, so that's another option with a different fitting
