Impressed with my new membrane! Im getting 2ppm from 124ppm tap water! Worth the extra cost imo. I just hope it lasts years. Anyone else using this membrane?

Is it the same 99% rejection membrane that's been out for years or a new advanced membrane they just came out with? Their 99% rejection membranes are the only ones I found I liked.

Im not sure what the difference is. They sound the same. You use one?

Im getting 1 tds now from 127 tds! Happy when everything works like it says.

Great product and I love mine, my dual membrane setup takes my 250-275 down to 0-1!

FWIW Spectrapure no longer guarantees rejection rates over 98% although they still state they will perform over 99%. They clam that the varying degrees of input TDS customers experience can cause the membranes rejection rate to be around 98% and not 99%. And my guess is they had too many returns to deal with so they dropped the guarantee on them when they redid there website.

In saying all that, I'd still recommend them every time and the VAST majority of users will see the 99%+ rate they claim as I do.

Wow thats sweet! Dual membrane hey, are they both spectrapure? Is it the same thing brs talks about? Wanna share a pic?

Fwiw mine produces 0 to 1 tds now with a booster pump. No deion resin needed now since i have high co2 which ate it up. Happy.

I degas my ro for a few days due to co2 on spectrapure recommendation. They do say on their website to replace to membrane yearly though. Not sure it's needed or not depending on amount of water made.

Hpw do you feed it, booster pump?

Cory, I just picked up a used spectrapure unit 180gpd. Based on the way my DI depleted I'm guessing my membranes (2) need changing since I swapped out everything cept for the membranes.

Is there a big difference between this and say the 75g membranes from BRS that are more than 1/2 the price? I'm open to using the better ones, just curious if its really worth it.

Hey Cory, somehow I missed this and I know it's late but yes they are both spectrapure membranes and still chugging along nicely.

The only way to tell if they are truly shot is to get some TDS readings before and after the membranes themselves

I agree wjth the above, deion resin expiring quickly could be due to co2 and not membrane performance.
