have an anthias I just found a substantial sore on. Looks raised but not real red. Wondered if spectrogram is ok with metro as I am dosing it as a preventive measure for urenoma. Could also do NFG but not sure about mixing it with metro.

Could also be uronema, which metroplex would be best for. A photo would be helpful here.

Infections and uronema plague anthias.

Metro is safe to use with spectrogram. No issues there. That actually is the same combination as you see recommended frequently as the trifecta.

NFG can also be combined with metro. I would avoid doing so unless it's your only option. NFG is already 3 meds combined so adding metro is getting pretty heavy. I have done so in the past as a last effort to save a very sick fish.

Lights are off already, I tried.

It’s something along this line. No red though and elongated. Closer to pectoral fin. Will get pics tomorrow . While I have your attention, what would you do with an anthias that is breathing hard. It’s been fresh water dipped twice, been in 90 min. Rally bath and dosed NFG for a brief period and then changed to general cure. Also metro since I got it so about 8-10 days. Not eating and yawning multiply times aggressively and in quick succession.
Thanks, Jim

Follow up, lost the fish with markings today. It’s what you all feared. Have two left that are active and two that are not anymore plus a little McCorskers wrasse that is in acclimation box in same tank is off food now and has a spot on tail that is raised. These fish all get fresh water dip, rally bath before even seeing the qt tank and it’s dosed with metro before they get here. I really thought I had a handle on this stuff but surprise , surprise , I know so little.

So I am planning to take remaining fish and do a bath with rally and then place in new qt tank dosed with metro. What say the brain trust?
Thanks guys, always appreciated.

That sounds like a good start. Sorry for the trouble :(

You may want to do a rally bath a few times in the first 36 hours.

No need to be sorry, you guys go above and beyond in trying to equip us for what lies ahead. My guess is I will lose most of the fish but am still trying anything.
Thank you!

The mouth open is often a symptom of uronema.

Once I saw the fish in the morning it became evident. Lost two so far. Did the bath and metro dosed new tank. Will redo bath again tonight and perhaps again tomorrow. Appreciate the replies.
Have a great week.
