I'd wager your post is in jest but when we agree I can spend X amount but end up spending Y, well, it is a judgement call. We both have expensive hobbies and/or tastes so it works out in the end. If I really go overboard, and I have during this upgrade, I just buy her a case of her favorite wine. In fact, today I just stopped by Total Wine and More and picked her up a case of "The Prisoner"... I honestly don't think it ever bothered her so I guess I'm lucky.
