The picture is a bit fuzzy to me but I'm thinking a sponge of some sort. Best of luck :)

Looks like some sort of bacterial bloom, often caused by excess nutrients and insufficient bacteria to break it down. It goes away soon.
More info would be needed for cycling duration, did you use live or dry rock? Any bottled bacteria?
Can be a few days, maybe weeks.

It is a bacterial bloom of some sort, most likely cyanobacteria. The time to cycle varies based on what bacteria types you have, how much rock you have, etc. My guess would be a few weeks to a month. Your mileage may vary.

we are currently using dry rock for cycling as the conditions of the water we know wouldn't be good for any sort of fish, and yes we use bottle bacteria

It’s a sponge. Had them also when I started the tank..harmless and will go away on its own once tank matures

Its what is known as Calothrix which is a species of cyano often appear as a light slimy and hairy/fuzzy coating that loosely attaches to your rock work. Sometimes, air bubbles are trapped within this stuff.
Removal requires taking rock out and placing in a container of tank water and scrubbing with a toothbrush or automotive detail brush and rinsing then returning it to tank.
Cleaners such as lg astrea snails, pin cushion urchin and chitons can help maintain control

That’s very live looking dry rock, I must say.

80lbs of the rock in the tank is 100% dry rock, the other 40lbs isn't completely dry dry, it was out of tank for about a week and a half before putting it back into a tank, mind you it is the damper 40lbs of rock that this stuff Is growing on so it makes sense as to why its there lol just not sure what exactly it is
