Never stops amazi g me the critters I find in my tank. These guys are making a home under my forest fire digi. The digi looks fine and has been acting very happy but these do seem like spiders. The digi has been in my tank about a month and this is the first I noticed these guys. As far as I can seem with my flashlight and tons of scrutiny, they aren't on any other corals including zoas. I dip everything in revive. Any idea if I have a problem with these guys, not sure what they are. One of them had what looks like eggs or tiny sand bits on the legs that fell off when I removed the critter. 20220516_120110.jpg

I have never personally had them and read from other's experiences, so take this for the little that it is worth... There are some spiders that will eat acorpora tissue. Most of the picker type of wrasses (6 line, Spanish hog, melarnus, etc.) will hunt them down - faries and flashers not so much. Interceptor will typically kill them in the same doses used for red bugs. Good luck.

Well, after 30 minutes in revive dip these spiders are still kicking, no wonder my dip didn't get rid of them before they went in tank. However , out of the four that I pulled off I put 2 in revive and 2 in lugols. The lugols seemed to kill them in about 5 minutes so I will be using lugols on my Monti from now on. At least I know that much now :)

My digi really seems great but they must have been feeding on the part that encrusted under the plug. Not sure....

I've always been afraid to get a wrasse because I have a lot of inverts in my reef tank. I would need one that wouldn't pick on my crabs and shrimp, they are very good little workers and a favorite of my kiddos, they have named them all.
