Spiny Box has ick please help

Hello, my spiny box puffer has got a bad case of ick stopped eating as of last night, I have heard it is not safe to use copper treatment so what can I use or do to help him ?

I’m not an expert with diseases but I’m pretty sure if you tank is fish only it’s ok. If you have a reef set up then you’ll wanna a second tank to be used as a hospital. The medications have copper which kills coral and inverts.
