I have a spiny lobster that I need to get out of my tank. At this point, I am unable to catch him or even draw him out. I need to get him out ! Just dont know the best way without destroying my tank and causing more harm to my corals or fish.
Advice ??

Just pull your rock out and grab him, or you can make a fish trap out of a jug

Sounds easy....unfortunately, with all the rock I have and corals on the rock and such, makes it difficult to remove rock and/or place a trap for him....especially one that the other fish wont go into....lol

I had to pull my entire tank apart to get rid of a purple lobster and it was still hard to get it out.

Use a 20 0z soda bottle. Cut off the top and invert it back into the bottle making the opening just big enough for him. Put a rock in there to weigh it down and place on the sb by where he hangs out with some food in it over night. Than make sure you have the lemon and butter ready for when you catch him.lol

Would a 20 ox bottle to big enough for that **** thing ? I know I could get that to fit in there but couldn't go bigger. I just really need to get that **** thing out

Is it a question of the size opening or diameter or length of the bottle for the area available to trap it ? If it being one of those, I would suggest if larger diameter (wider mouth) is needed, perhaps a Gatorade bottle. Not the large 32 oz but the one size smaller. Not sure how many oz it is. If it's about space (length) inside the tank, maybe cutting right where the neck meets the bottle and then cutting length from the bottle itself before inverting the top back in place. Just my .02.
