Spirally thing

I saw this rolling around in my sand bed for a few days, and then I found it stuck in my chaeto. Doesn't seem to be moving, at least not on it's own. Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Seems very similar, but those seem much thicker and have a spine running down the side. I was thinking it might be the remains of something from the serpulidae family, like a feather duster without the feathers; they have a similar spiral pattern to them.
