Around a year ago I bought a black and green splatter similar to this one.

Within about 2 months it turned all green and has remained that way for a while but seeing the picture I posted above made me curious again about it.
Any clue why it did this, and how to make it go back to the way it was if possible?
System is SPS dominant but it’s in a low flow spot on the sand. PO4 @ .076 via Hanna ULR and NO3 at 2 using Red Sea.

What r your parameters, also, being a SPS dominant tank I wonder if the lights caused the issue. What lights do you run, whats your schedule, and if possible what is the par reading at the favia, they light low to medium light with a lot of blue. I am in the process of changing my tank from LPS to a SPS/LPS mixed tank and have doubled the flow and my favia really don't care about flow as long as you aren't blasting them.

NO3/PO4 posted above. Alk dropped to 7.8 because I got distracted from my tank for about a week but I normally run it at a stable 9.2, bumped up from 8 after wanting to see if there was a major difference. Ca is 440, Mg 1500. I don’t test for trace elements but I do dose Red Sea Coral Colors at half the recommended dose. Not sure of PAR at the exact spot but my sandbed is generally around 120.

It could just be the type of lights and its spectrum that changed the color, I watched my frags change color based of intensity alone. I am currently in the process of switching to a t5/led fixture and I'm sure they will change slightly again. It could also be a trace element issue, I have heard they do effect color, but I don't have any experience with trace elements so I'm not sure. Just ordered some and I will dose it based on calcium intake of the tank, so I will see. Hopefully u find the problem. Good Luck!

#reefsquad , any suggestions

None of my other corals have changed colors though, beyond some acros of course. I don’t run ULNS and my tank is very blue with a small percentage of whites.
I've seen favia and chalice corals change color dramatically when I would buy them from an led tank and put them under halides and not for the better, I always chalked it up to spectrum. Even a few acros turned solid green.
