I don’t know. I have seen them reproduce sexual, budding and splitting. My temp and salinity is stable. I dose (alk, cal, mag) via pumps but only test once a month. I have a mixed reef with favia, monti, lepto colonies. 4 fish and a good cleanup crew.

Very nice collection and that split face is amazing, but is not believe they split like some of the other anemones kept in the hobby. I’ve never heard of any reproduction other than sexual. I think what sometimes looks like budding or splitting is a baby emerging from under the mom and becoming suddenly visible.
You might be right about the budding but I know from first hand experience they split. My largest RFA split into 2 about a year ago.
@rmorris_14Rock flower anemones have been breeding in my tank continuously for the last 3 or so years. I have a 30 gallon with around 200 at any given moment. I started with 2. I feed the ones I like or are a different color morph. I have a few with strips across the face but this is my first half split face one. What do y’all think?

Yes, I have new babies on the bottom all the time. No I don’t have a thread. I have tried a thread in the past but I never kept it updated. Here is a video from 4 years ago. Tank is still doing great. I should post a new one.
I only feed the babies I want to try and keep. I feed everything in my take the same food, reef frenzy. My take is 34g. I only dose the big three. No other supplements. I only test when things seem off so maybe every 3 months. Don’t know about nutrients levels. I do a 5-10 gallon water change once a month. I also run carbon and gfo if I think the tank needs it.
Sometimes but what lives, lives. I have a royal gramma, blue-green chromis, canary blenny. The coral is bizarro cyphastrea.
