I have a build thread going here:

But the long short of it is can I split the live rock I have in my 40G between the 2 26Gs with their marco rock and every week remove a live rock till I just have the marco rock?

Im in process of cycling one nano, and tomorrow the second one comes in and I will start that as well, but I would much rather dump bacteria in it, with it's rock formation and a bunch of live rock in the back of the display along with some ceramic media in the rear chamber.

I don't see why not.
But why don't you want to leave the live rock in the new tanks?

It just doesnt go with the new 'vision'. and a small part of it is ill have less bristleworms- atleast temporarily while I learn to manage my over feeding and cleaning.

going to get water from the LFS and start moving over rock. Any opinions or ideas other than what i mentioned?
