splitting PPE ?

This is really weird! I noticed that my 2 ppe's were a little irratated, then a closer look and i noticed that 1 of the polyps had 2 mouths. I'm not sure why this happened or what could cause this. Has anyone seen this before?

The right side looks a little pinched too. Do they split?

I have never seen one split. I'm not sure what's going on with it. It does look like it is though. I think it's pretty cool ! I'll have to keep an eye on it and see what happens.

Thats a cool pic! I've never seen any zoa's split before. I have a variable star with 2 mouths. I thought it was going to split but it hasnt done anything in a few months.

Hey Jesse... how long has yours had 2 mouths? Have you noticed any part of it's skirt starting to pinch like it was splitting? Do you have any pics of it that you could post?

I didnt notice any pinching of the skirts. Here's a pic.

It might take a while, but it should split. Mine looked just like yours when it started splitting about 6 months ago. Ive got an AoG polyp doing the same right now. I wish I would have taken more pics of the split.

That's a pretty cool pic! I hope mine splits like yours did. I noticed mine a few days ago. I don't know when it started, but i'm going to try to take pics once or twice a week. I all excited now!
