Splitting Zoas

I am debating on separating the colors here.. there's 3 types on one rock piece.

I am not sure how to go about it, since they're so close together and growing beautifully. Is there a guide for dummies on splitting the polyps safely?

i cut the rock on the underside (not all the way threw) then use a prying device or flathead screwdiver the flesh will hold the pieces together then use a exacto or scalple to cut the fresh...hope that helps...
