Sponge excel with Phosguard?

If I was trying to silicate dose to help beat Dinos, would I need to stop using Phosguard? Would that just pull out the silicate?

Maybe if po4 was really low. But I think if there's both PO4 and Si, then it'll bind more PO4. I'm fuzzy on that and may be confused.
