I just bought this sponge Sunday and placed it on my tank. I made sure to keep the bag under water when placing it so it never came in contact with the air.
My question is: what kind of sponge is this and does it look healthy? I don't remember seeing the thin white film over it but noticed the thin layer yesterday morning.
I've placed it at the very bottom of the tank, about 30 inches from the light source, although not completely shaded, just partially. All water levels are great. Power heads are 3/4 up tank on each side and there's water flow. I have a cleaner crew eating everything up.
Any suggestions?
